Hate
I cannot believe people like this exist. Some fucking idiot keeps messaging things like this to sparkles-stinson, who did absolutely nothing to provoke or engage this other than say that they supported lgbt rights and equality. Simple enough, right? God forbid you support the goodness of humanity and openness to every human being.
We are all souls living in bodies. Souls can love each other without bounds, souls don’t have genders and it doesn’t matter with souls. There is no right or wrong with souls, you can argue as much as you want but it is not possible.
The saddest thing and most revolting thing is that people like this are never going to change their minds. Looking at the pictures above physically makes me sick. There are minds out there that believe being a dangerous, psychotic sociopath is the same thing as openly loving who you love. They simply cannot and it’s impossible to accept because we want them to. We need them to see that it’s okay to be who you are, but they can’t.
I never understood the concept of gay marriage. By that I mean I never understood why it was an issue in the first place. In a perfect world, actually, in an understanding world, it would have never been a problem. Neither would racism or sexism. They would have never been something that needed to be addressed, if you think about it. People could have just gotten along and everyone could have loved one another like how it should go.
But somewhere along that line, some one guy thought that he was better than a woman because he was a man. And some white person thought they were better than a black person because they had lighter skin. And a human who married a member of the opposite sex thought they were better because of it.
It’s a crazy, psychotic, demented mentality, but we all do it in one way or another. Everyday, you see someone on the street and feel a little bit better on the inside because you think you’re superior. Maybe it’s their clothes, or their hair, or their status. Something stupid. But that’s exactly how homophobia began, people looking for ‘abnormalities’ in society to put them down. It’s funny, because race, gender, and sexual orientation never should have been abnormalities and they never should have been different.
The egos of people who live to put others down simplify to just plain bullies. These bullies and monsters are always going to exist among us, and that’s scary. But the thing that is most comforting is that millions and millions of people are beginning to see this. This mindset is becoming more and more endangered everyday, and with accepting and incredible people like you it will become extinct. Millions of children are growing up today seeing two men holding hands and thinking that it’s normal, and that’s so amazing. There’s so much hope, you just have to look for it.
